This workshop is aimed at dancers who have thought about adding some pzazz and wow to their Swing Dancing.
You will need previous Swing Dancing experience for this workshop.

There is a licensed bar from 4pm to 7pm and Free Tea/Coffee
A great wooden dance floor – maximum numbers 60 and mostly FREE parking.
Guest Teachers – Ichtiandras Veliulis and Judith Hummer
Both Ichtis and Judith enjoy being spontaneous and playing in their dancing. Being an individual and yourself while dancing is key. Technique is one thing, musicality, self-expression, connectivity, eye contact, playing with the dancing and inspiring your dance partner are another. Their workshops and teaching focus on inspiring the same in those they have the pleasure to work with.
Ichtis started his dancing career in 1984 where he was exposed to and enjoyed a variety of dances from break dancing, disco, acrobatic rock-n-roll and boogie-woogie dancing. He discovered Lindy Hop in 1994 in Paris having initially enjoyed Swing dancing. He worked his way up and became a Lindy Hop Teacher, teaching in many dance camps from 1999 till this day. He has taught in England, Russia, Baltic states, Germany, at Herrang in Sweden between 2003 and 2009, at the HiDeHo dance camp at Butlins in 2015, at the Exeter swing dance workshop in 2016.
Hi career in England started in 2006 working for a Swing Dance company in Portsmouth, followed by a move to Andover where he started the Andover Lindy Hoppers, with whom he both teaches and performs regularly.
He also performs with ‘Swingdance UK’ in London and has also performed in a variety of TV shows and some European dance competitions.
He continues to be passionate about Lindy Hop and travels to Camp Hollywood every year to get exposure to new styles that can benefit his teaching.
Judith Hammer has always had a passion for dancing and sports. As a child she was exposed to Ballet and modern dancing while developing a passion for Jazz through her Dad’s love of the music. In her university years, she was exposed to, learned and performed in Acrobatic Rock N Roll which gave her a passion for flying. Following University, she moved to New York for a year, where she discovered acrobatic Swing Dancing and Lindy Hop and studied under Nathalie Gomes, being part of her Dance troupe called ‘Hop Swing and a Jump’.
In 2000 she moved to London for a job and was introduced to ‘SwingDance UK’ where she continued dancing, teaching and performing with Simon Selmon and various other partners. Since, she has been teaching /performing with Swing Dance UK, won the UK Lindy Hop Championships in 2001, 2nd Place in 2002, has been involved in performances at various festivals, private gigs, television shows, movie extras, theatre performance called the ‘Journey Through Jazz’ at the Lilian Baylis Theatre (Sadlers Wells) and the Purcell Room (Royal festival Hall), the Generation Game with Jim Davidson, performing for Prince William at the Trouping of the Colours, teaching couples swing/lindy/arial routines for their weddings and dancing while maintaining a full time job in Learning and Development.
